Due to an unusually long winter, including sea ice for much longer than expected, our supply chain and manufacturing have been disrupted, including with respect to the harvesting of basic ingredients.
For example, we expect a disastrous season for bilberries, which means items such as VÍKINGABLÓÐ RAUÐR (Nordic Red Tea) won’t be restocked for at least another year. Similarly, we may not release any ÚLFHÉÐNABLÓÐ RAUÐR (Traditional Red Mead, made, as a reminder, with centuries-old yeast) this year.
For everything else, current stock won’t be replenished until October at the earliest. In addition, we expect significant backlog again for orders by the middle of next week.
In practical terms, anything currently in stock and ordered by the end of the week will ship right away. Starting in the middle of next week, significant delays are expected, with no shipment until the end of October.
You can order on Norwegian site at https://sonnungr.no or on the American site at https://norskk.com.
The delay will make the acquisition that much sweeter. Good things come with time.
