NRT-YVR All Nippon Airways Business Class Review
Tokyo Narita to Vancouver. Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
The Airport
Tokyo Narita Terminal 1 was rather empty, with Japan having only recently re-opened its borders to foreigners. Overall, the airport serves its purpose. It does not beat Oslo Gardermoen, but probably nothing does.
ANA (All Nippon Airways) Lounge at Narita Terminal 1
While the airport seem rather deserted, the lounge was not and was quite busy. The lounge was rather common, with plain design, plain facilities, and plain food offerings. Everybody was also masked, because it remains a requirement in Japan. By everybody, I exclude us. We did not wear a mask entering or staying at the lounge, and we were not confronted by staff or any other passenger.
Lack of actual larger selection of Japanese food was disappointing.
The showers were of course a nice perk. Especially since these can no longer be taken for granted. Air Canada, for example, no longer offers any shower anywhere in Canada at any of its Maple Leaf lounge.
