The Norðkona (Northwoman) is back and it is specifically and exclusively designed for women.
Upon completing the Norðkona (Northwoman) Training Program, women will have a basic understanding of Norse culture (including magics), survival concepts, the ways of nature, and Scandinavian living.
It is entirely completed online at your own pace, and is organized in 4 online courses, which can be taken individually or as part of the full program:
Mannasiðr (Norse Culture For Women)
This course covers everything a Norsewoman needs to know about Norse lore, traditions, customs, culture and history, including a Magics section not otherwise available in the male version of the course.
Lífa (Survival Basics)
This course introduces you to the basics of wilderness survival, including tools, psychology of survival, shelters, fire, water, plants you can use, catching your own food, avoiding being eaten by a beast, and the stuff that can kill you.
Hreindýri (Reindeer Biology)
This course covers the essentials about reindeer/caribou, including history and traditions, human impact, status & conservation, biology, range and habitat, behavior, and observation.
Matreiða (Norse Living For Women)
This course introduces Northwomen to Norse living, including but not limited to housekeeping, cooking as well as home decor with a Scandinavia touch.
