For the past few months, several of you have managed, somehow, to (allegedly) complete the Forneskja course within a few hours. Doing so is very unlikely, and quite an achievement, unless you skip the vast majority of materials, including but not limited to to the Sagas.
Evidently, some of you may simply be so knowledgeable already about our culture that you don't need to bother with the course materials we provide. Or maybe, Óðinn appeared in your sleep and gave you all the knowledge you needed. It could also be very simply an outcome of the modern trophy culture where your goal is to pass the course and get a Forn Siðr membership with no interest in actually learning much.
Whatever the reasons may be for completing in a few hours a course that normally takes months, it is evident that the final assessment provided was inadequate: True/false questions you had a 50% chance of getting right even without knowledge whatsoever, the ability to look up the information online, and overall a test that was far too easy.
Well, at the risk of sounding like a SEAL (which is kinda gay), the only easy day was yesterday. We have indeed now updated the final assessment for the Forneskja course and it will be rather challenging to pass without the necessary knowledge.
As a further incentive to those who want to cut corners, if you fail on first attempt, sure, you can try again, but you'll need to wait 30 days and cough up another 500 kr. Yes. This does suck monkey balls, but it will only affect those who actually do not review the materials we provide, and who don't learn about our culture, which is actually the purpose of that course.
