Óðinn is often seen in popular understanding as the reference in Norse culture. The most important of the Æsir, and the one “god” to celebrate. This most likely results from a poor understanding of our culture, mistranslation of public texts (already subjective as written after the facts by Christians), and of course, a Christianisation of our belief system and the need as a result to focus on one deity.
